What is the GiveBack foundation?

The GiveBack Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt, 501(c)(3) corporation created to assist individuals, families and other like focused charities in the region consisting of the New Jersey Counties of Monmouth, Ocean, Burlington, Mercer and Middlesex.

History

The Foundation was officially organized with the formal adoption of its by-laws on September 21, 2005.  Since that time we have assisted over 100 individuals and families within our service area.

How does the Foundation help in the local community?

We have assisted numerous children, adults and families who have been affected with, Childhood Leukemia, Pontine Glioma, Battens Disease and Cancer; we filled a need for handicap facilities as a result of an accident, provided a mobile positioning unit for a young boy, and many other requests.

The GiveBack Foundation has been very successful in reaching out to the community to provide immediate help to those in need.

We operate at the grass roots level and continue to maintain an ongoing relationship with recipients.  We are truly an organization of “people helping people”, not only with money and food, but with time, personal contact, and extended family relationships.

Our recipients have received varying amounts of assistance depending on specific needs.

How does the foundation fund their local projects?

All the money received by the Foundation is through direct donations, Grants, Philanthropic endowments, and proceeds from special events.

How does a potential recipient apply for aid?

All applicants are required to fill out a Criteria Fact Sheet answering specific questions regarding their needs.  The Foundation staff evaluates all requests and based upon current available resources, award as many applicants as financially possible

How can I help the Foundation?

As a fairly new Foundation, we certainly can use your help on any of the new working committees that are in need of volunteers. 

We need non-perishable food donations for our Food Bank, new children’s clothing and winter coats, and local grocery and chain store gift cards.

We are always looking for volunteers, sponsors and advertisers for our annual Golf Outings, our annual GiveBack Gala ad journal and silent auction as well as donations for the annual Gift Auction.

I am a business in the community - How can I help?

We know local businesses are constantly being inundated with requests.  However, our recipients are your customers and all your dollars remain within the 5 county regions we service.

If you would like to help, and share our message with your customers, please talk to us about setting up a customer discount program.

Local businesses can also volunteer or make a donation to one or more of our events or place an advertisement in our ad journal for one of our local Golf Outings and the annual GiveBack Gala.

“People helping People” - We need your help to grow.

As the Foundation grows so will our capacity to reach out in the community and help the many in need.  If we all take just a little time to help others - our community will greatly benefit from all our efforts.
