During the weekend of December 18, 2011, Cub Scout Pack 116 of Millstone, NJ collected and donated 3 large boxes of food to our food pantry, which we quickly redistributed to a local family in need this holiday.  Thank you, scouts, for your hard work in helping others in need!

Salon Extraordinaire in Robbinsville Does it Again!!!

Just when we thought they could not possibly get any more generous, Val Nebbia, her family and salon clients came through in spades for us, delivering a bounty of food for our food pantry at Thanksgiving and a huge bucket of toys and other goods for a family in need this holiday season.
Thank you hardly seems good enough to express our gratitude.

The Residents of Heritage Green Support The Give Back Foundation and a Local Family in Need

The K. Hovnanian Heritage Green Development in Allentown, NJ, recently "Gave Back" to a local family that was displaced by fire shortly before the holiday season.  Numerous families collectively donated over $1,000 in cash, gift cards, clothing, furniture, food and homemade cookies to help this family get back on their feet again.   Acts like this help us to define what it means to be a good neighbor.  We, as well as the family affected, greatly appreciate your kindness and generosity.

GBF'S ANNUAL GIFT AUCTION A GREAT SUCCESS!

On Saturday, October 1, 2011, the 250+ attendees of GBF's Annual Gift Auction were treated to a Tricky Tray event that featured over 316 wonderful prizes and a 50/50 with a cash payout value of $768.00.  Prizes such as a 40" TV, 32" TV, Kindle, over 110 gift cards and gift certificates, a work of art "Money Shirt" valued at $275.00 and a (1) week getaway vacation at Barefoot Paradise Resort in North Myrtle Beach, SC, were just a sampling of the prize offerings.  We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our donors for making this event a possibility for us.  Also, gratitude goes out to all our volunteers who worked so hard to make this event a success including our Chairwoman Marge and her husband Jim, Tony, who worked so hard soliciting from area businesses and Ruthann who worked so hard with set-up/clean-up!  We also want to thank our basket makers and bakers who provided sweet treats for all to enjoy.   Last but certainly not least, our gratitude goes out to Ed Treadaway and The New Egypt Elks Club for doing an outstanding job with set-up, food service and general cooperation.  They are a fine organization that supports many wonderful non-profit causes and we are lucky to have them to work with for this annual event.

Our volunteers had a great time at Millstone Day on Sunday, September 18, 2011.  Held at Frogbridge Day Camp on Yellow Meetinghouse Road in Millstone, this annual event draws residents from Millstone and surrounding areas (including Allentown), where they share a High School.  Children were fascinated with GBF's wishing well and we had many individuals donate and inquire about possible volunteer opportunities.  We also sold Philly Pretzels, which were very popular!  Thank you to everyone who supported us and we will see you again next year!

The Stars and Stripes Livestock Show and Country Fair held at The Horse Park of New Jersey on Saturday, 8/20/11, was a great success.  Our "Your Change is Their Change" wishing well got off to a great start with a donation from the Keris family, who are always so supportive of GBF and our mission to help local residents in need.  Our thanks to them and all the other attendees who visited and/or contributed.

Here are some photo's from this event:

GBF attended the races at the New Egypt SpeedWay on June 23, 2011 and collected food and approximately $1,000 in donations and 50/50 proceeds.   Our thanks to all who donated and supported GBF.

GBF awarded (5) college scholarships to deserving students at Allentown and New Egypt High Schools in June, 2011.  Recipients from Allentown H.S. were sisters Morgan and Amanda Silverblatt and Brian Cullinane.  Recipients from New Egypt H.S. included Casandra Rose Hinderlider and Erica McCabe.  All of these students have long, impressive records of community service and in their own ways, have already started "Giving Back".  We wish them congratulations and much success as they pursue their college careers and future.
