About The Give Back Foundation...

At The Give Back Foundation (GBF), "giving" is at the heart of what we do.  It is the cornerstone of our foundation -- holding us together and at the same time, setting us apart from other charities.  We narrow our focus to concentrate our giving on residents of Mercer, Monmouth, Middlesex, Burlington and Ocean counties in New Jersey who suffer from life altering circumstances.  Whether it is loss of employment, death or disability of a family member or chronic illness, our goal is to help neighbors in our own backyards who need assistance to get past obstacles that life sometimes throws their way.

The Give Back Foundation has been a silent hero to many since its creation in 2005.  Whether we have provided monetary donations to help with bill payment, or provided a necessary piece of medical equipment, GBF has been there when there seemed no other solution in sight.  Our success stories are many and varied.  Recently, we assisted a family who lost their home and needed a downpayment for a new apartment, we helped a disabled individual get some necessary equipment to do physical therapy at home and also assisted a high school graduate in breaking the family's cycle of poverty by providing a scholarship to complete trade school.  GBF has provided all this with nothing more than the hope that our recipients someday remember the kindnesses paid to them and "pay it forward" when and if they are able..

Although we are not a sustaining organization, and cannot provide long-term, on-going financial support, we can provide immediate, short-term solutions to some of life's problems.  Our recipients complete Criteria Fact Sheets which are reviewed monthly for consideration by our Board Members.  Interviews are conducted and each situation is carefully considered on a case-by-case basis. 

Aside from our monetary assistance, GBF also has a food bank which has serviced many area residents.  At our food bank, privacy is respected and confidentiality is always maintained,  Our recipients pride and dignity is always considered by The Board and its volunteers.

At GBF, we know that every path has a puddle.  And we help people get over it.  Won't you consider helping us as we help others?  Please join us as a volunteer, donate food to our food pantry, support our fundraising events or make a donation.  Unlike national charities, our administrative costs are nominal (our Board members are volunteers, there are no salaried positions and our expenses amount to paper and postage).  So everything we raise, goes back to those who need it most.  GBF - always giving!
